We were thrilled to display artwork created by students in our workshops in a special exhibition titled, “Paint, Print, Sculpt: Celebrating Children’s Art”, held at the A. Wilfrid Johns Gallery at the University of Victoria between February 8-28, 2015
All the artwork was created from the 2014/2015 visual arts curriculum, which showcased the following themes:
- Painting: Creating a mandala-like artwork (patterns and symbols)
- Printmaking: The Night Sky (printmaking and collage)
- Sculpture: Using the human figure to communicate meaning
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the artsREACH program, this special exhibition, featured 23 Mandala paintings, seven Night Sky murals and one wire sculpture.
