Families from around the city kept our Pop Up Shop hopping at the Vancouver Island School of Art on September 30th and October 1st. Our tables were filled with bins and trays offering all sorts of alternative art supplies. Colourful papers, fun fabric samples, a multitude of craft supplies, buttons and notions were all generously donated by local businesses. Our customers enjoyed buying a grocery bag and filling it with as much as it could hold.
Many thanks to Used.ca for once again sponsoring our event. We also held a draw during the weekend for a $20 gift card donated by Opus art supply store and the lucky winner was Melissa Fowler. Congratulations! Thank you to all of our board members, volunteers and community for generously giving their time and support to make this event such a success. We are already looking forward to next year!
Paper and Scissors and Glue..Oh My!
We had such a blast hosting our free Creation Station where kids were able to imagine all sorts of cool and creative projects using our recycled art materials. A big thanks to the artsREACH Instructors and volunteers who were on hand to keep the kids supplied with tape, scissors, glue… and lots of inspiration!
Many family members got in on the fun…!
