Accessible and affordable
We provide children with the opportunity to develop life skills by participating in high-quality arts programming that they wouldn’t be able to access otherwise. For these children to participate at no cost, funds are raised through grants, donors, sponsors and events.
Enhancing life skills
Children who develop communication, personal management and teamwork skills into natural behaviours at a young age are able to use these life skills to create a better future for themselves.
Fun workshops taught by professionals
Since 2005, more than 21,000 children have participated in an artsREACH workshop delivered at their public elementary school or community centre. The workshops are taught by professional artists, actors, dancers and filmmakers.
Colour Your Palate was amazing!
Our annual Iron-Chef inspired fundraiser was a lively, delectable celebration of food and art. There were canapé tastings, a silent auction, live music, door prizes, and more. Many thanks to our sponsors, supporters, chefs, guests, and volunteers for a thoroughly enjoyable evening in support of our arts programs for children.
On March 5 we had a party to celebrate our 10th anniversary! There were free workshops for the kids, and of course a big birthday cake. Check out all the photos!
Spring cleaning? We can help!
We are currently soliciting local businesses to donate surplus goods, factory cast-offs and recycled materials that can be used as alternative art materials.
We plan to use the donated items for future art projects with the kids and also to create our very first Pop-Up Shop in the fall to sell “art supplies” by the bagful. We also need storage facilities.
Student Video: Snakebite
Check out this cool video created in January 2016 by students in our filmmaking workshop at Tillicum Elementary School.
Our program coordinator, Erica, loves her job and it shows.
